1911 Reading Standard

1912 Hendee Indian Twin

Called “The Municipal Moto-Cycle" due to its white paint color. Indians of this period were either painted Indian Red or Dark Blue. However, Hendee Manufacturing did offer “Custom Paint” to municipalities and States. One would receive your new Indian in its crate along with a quart of the color that you specified. The customer would then hand paint the machine themselves after delivery. The acetylene tank is beautiful; with all wording still legible. All mechanicals are intact and the paint and plating patina is wonderful to view.
